What is UTRGV Day of Giving?
UTRGV Day of Giving is a one-day fundraising event that has the power to change lives! On April 26th, we will show the power of one: One Day. One Goal. One UTRGV.
This is your opportunity to give to the area of the university that means the most to you—from academic programs and athletics to scholarships and support services. It takes all of us to build a better future! Your gift to UTRGV will support students of today, and it is an investment in the success of the students of tomorrow.
Join us on UTRGV Day of Giving as we demonstrate the power of one. Together, we will change lives.
Besides giving, how can I help UTRGV Day of Giving be a huge success?
There are many ways to show your Vaquero spirit on UTRGV Day of Giving! You can spread the word by sharing our page with your friends, family, and networks. Encourage your followers via Facebook or Twitter to make a gift, or send an email and text message with a direct link to our site. Post about UTRGV Day of Giving on your social media channels using #OneUTRGV #PowerOfOne and #UTRGVDayofGiving. Whatever method you choose, your voice will make an enormous difference in the success of UTRGV Day of Giving!

Is my gift tax-deductible?
Yes, the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley is a tax-exempt organization, as described in Section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code. You will receive an email acknowledgment of your gift that will serve as a receipt.
What address should I list?
Be sure to enter the address associated with the credit card you're using; otherwise, the transaction won't go through.
Can I make more than one gift?
Absolutely! Make sure to select the "add another designation" button and add as many gifts as you'd like.
How do I make a gift?
Click on the "Give Now" button on the main page. Start by selecting the program you want to support (you can always gift to more than one!) and then the fund that aligns with your interests - scholarships, a specific program, athletics, or any other designation. Can't see what fund you want to support? Select "other" and then fill in the text box with where to direct your gift. We are so grateful for your generosity!
Do I have to make a gift online?
While making an online gift is the easiest way to participate in Day of Giving, you can also make your gift by mail or phone. Call us at (956) 665-5301 to make a gift over the phone. You can mail a check made out to UTRGV to the address below with "Day of Giving" in the memo line. Please include a note with information about how you'd like your gift to be designated.
