Student Emergency Fund
Help a student experiencing an unexpected emergency

The purpose of the Student Emergency Fund is to provide limited financial assistance to currently enrolled students who are experiencing financial challenges related to a sudden emergency, accident, or unforeseen event. In 2020, the Student Emergency Fund provided relief to students facing challenges due to the coronavirus (COVID-19).

During the pandemic, many students lost jobs, some incurred unexpected moving and travel expenses, while others were stranded for some time, unable to return home to be with their families. UTRGV committed itself to face the crisis head-on; in a time of uncertainty, students were the guiding light, and the University did not waver in its commitment to their well-being. As the University continues to pivot to overcome the challenges presented by the pandemic, it maintains its steadfast commitment to the safety of its students. Your gift to the Student Emergency Fund will demonstrate the collective strength and generosity that exemplifies the Vaquero family.
